Still it's not right to have a big $1 Million prize sign on the ticket when the top prize is only $5,000 with some small disclaimer saying some prizes may have already been awarded. Your chances are small as it is to win, it needn't be made worse. Once the top prize is won, the tickets should be destroyed and the remaining prizes reallocated into future tickets. To me it's still false advertising. You really can't expect anyone to check the web site or read the Daily News before buying a ticket. If they were smart enough to read the small print, they wouldn't be buying the ticket in the first place. It's just a voluntary tax on the poor. |
