There also were couple of drink hustlers outside of bars (Beer? Pina colada?") I'd sooner have drunk out of a clogged toilet in a homeless shelter during an amoebic dysentery epidemic.I have to agree. I truely enjoyed Alcatraz when I was in San Fran. I enjoyed the ride over, and also thought the tour was good. It was a cloudy day when I went, so did get great shots of San Francisco from there, as the sun wasn't out. But of course, the cloudiness of the day added to the gloomy feel. I found the place highly interesting though, even if a bit depressing. I like "urban exploration" and ruin sort of things, so perhaps that's why I found it so interesting. I would go again if I was in the area again, as it's been about 10 years since I was at Alcatraz. Idon't think I would do it every time I went to SF, but every once in a while, it's interesting. |

If you havent done it, you aren't missing much other than saying you were there. The normal observation deck is much better.Did any of you guys ever go on the roofs outside on the WTC? I thought that was pretty cool when I did it, but some of the times I went up it was also closed. The normal inside observation deck was probably better in that case too, but it was sort of cool outside too. |

It's not the lack of E-ZPass, it's the corruption. Most of the money goes to administrative costs that wouldn't exist if the bridge authority didn't exist. If they want to keep the toll, they should have the bridge run by the Thruway Authority or MTA. |
