I truely enjoyed Alcatraz when I was in San Fran. I enjoyed the ride over, and also thought the tour was good. It was a cloudy day when I went, so did get great shots of San Francisco from there, as the sun wasn't out. But of course, the cloudiness of the day added to the gloomy feel. I found the place highly interesting though, even if a bit depressing. I like "urban exploration" and ruin sort of things, so perhaps that's why I found it so interesting. I would go again if I was in the area again, as it's been about 10 years since I was at Alcatraz. Idon't think I would do it every time I went to SF, but every once in a while, it's interesting.
