The improvements have not found their way to the 23, 54, 11, and 53 routes. Be a man, and we'll go to Metro and Woodhaven one day and clock some buses. Then we'll clock trains at 63Drive.A few weeks ago, I went to JFK, but turned around when I decided at the last minute that I could die in a plane crash, and left the airport and non-refundable ticket behind. On the way home, I took the Q54, and waited 40 minutes at 6pm on a Friday night at Jamaica and Sutphin. While there, I had time to observe that the area is still pretty fucking shitty. I had to laugh when Franks Pizza closed at 6pm. 6pm! How many pizza shops close at 6pm? He's afraid to stay open late in Jamaica. Be a man. Let's clock some service. |

You have obviously not noticed that the Q21 just got a huge extension, duplicating the Q11 from Elmhurst to Ozone Park before serving Lindenwood and Howard Beach on its way to Rockaway Park.This in turn helps out the Q11 and Q53 greatly, because it provides more capacity on Woodhaven. (Q11 short-turns are now extended to the Rockaways.) As for your fear of planes, you may need some help. Your Q54 misfortune is likely an anomaly, as though you are the guy in "Worst Week". |

Be real men, and clock the service with when I come back to NY.Funny thing is that my fear of flying actually comes from an experience on the F train. One day, I was working midnights on the F. There were like a dozen work gangs between Coney Island and Continental that night. Maybe more. Tower told me to take a skip because I was running about 15 minutes late. On midnights, that means people could've been waiting as long as 30-35 minutes for "rapid transit". As I was bypassing a station at just 10mph(work gang on the road bed slowed me down as I came through the station), and blowing my horn, an airline pilot walked up to the platform edge, shouted "FUCK YOU", and gave me the finger. This guy is flying a commercial airliner? Shit! He's part of the reason why I am afraid to fly. He's also the reason I feel that airline personnel(especially pilots, mechanics too) should not be allowed to live in NY. Too stressful. |

The Trenton Cutoff would serve better as a more direct Amtrak route between New York and Harrisburg, bypassing Philly (a shorter route than that would be the CNJ or LVRR to RDG, via Allentown). It's absurd that the PRR never used the Trenton Cutoff for the Broadway Limited and other NYP-CHI trains. Even more absurd was Conrail being allowed to tear down the wires and basically turn the route into a severed "secondary". |

If you're in the outer boroughs you have to plan accordingly for traffic conditions. I live near Fort Totten. If I ride the Q13 to Main Street Flushing to get the 7 train, I have to leave myself AT LEAST 10 EXTRA MINUTES travel time in addition to the 31 minutes the trip is scheduledtp take at 6AM, to allow for the fact that everyone else is going to work, the bus gets crowded because less people are driving to the Park & Ride at Shea Stadium, weather conditions, etc.It takes me 50 minutes to get to work, an 8 mile, 15 minute trip by car. Returning home form work at 3:30 in the afternoon, traffic conditions around Main Street & Northern Blvd can wreak havoc on the trip. I can't speak for the area you live in, but the bus ride to Flushing is a long trip. But it is generally reliable and the scehdules posted on the TA's website helps me plan accordingly. Living in a "two-fare zone" has always been a grind. I've always lived in two-fare zones. I wouldn't say the service sucks. It is what it is. |

Compared to cities like Paris, Tokyo, Moscow, etc. it's just okay. Lots of tourists from other alpha world cities have complained that the frequency of trains in NY isn't up to what they're used to.
