The Fall of London

Posted by Spider-Pig on Sun Mar 22 13:21:29 2026

Didn’t the United Kingdom used to be the metropole of a great empire? What do they have now? A welfare state? Multiculturalism?

I can understand why right wing Britons do stupid shit like vote for Brexit. They are living in Italy in the 5th century. I feel bad for them.

The UK spent a phenomenal multiple of its GDP fighting World Wars I and II. And then it lost India. The downsizing that followed was not in the least surprising and has nothing to do with multiculturalism.

I always wonder how Europe would have turned out if Kaiser Wilhelm hadn't been such a moron and had instead just told the Austrians that they'd humiliated Serbia enough and to cool it.

Colonialism was an idea that had run its course decades ago. Most European colonies in Africa in particular vanished from about 1955 to 1965. Portugal clung to its colonies for a decade longer and suffered for it.

It's not stupid. Being in the EU means being under the thumb of Germany. Not to mention, Starmer has reversed a lot of the "Brexit" moves as things stand, never mind making the UK weaker in terms of self-defense.

The left doesn't think so. They want to colonize the entire world.

So does Islam, in spite of your decades-long mendacious insistence to the contrary. But they have become part of the left, in spite of insisting that they have a god . . .

Britain's downslide was already hugely obvious in 1950. Nothing to do with multiculturalism.

There were no "NO-GO Zones" or Sharia Courts in London until recently. Face it, schmuck, you know as little about London as you do about much else.

Yet Arabic is spreading. Nigeria, Ethoipia, the genocide in Sudan where more people died 3 weekends ago than did for 2 years in Gaza.

Islam isn’t part of the left, it’s a unilateral relationship. The left will keep propping up Islam and Islam will always stab them in the back. It happened in Iran in 1979 and we are still dealing with the consequences.

I don't know about sharia courts but lots of people from London that I trust say that no go zones are right wing American hysteria. In other words, they don't exist. London does have large areas that are overwhelmingly Muslim but even those areas have lots of all kinds of people that aren't Muslim mingling with ease.

Yes, you can walk through "with ease" but what do you do there? Why would you go to those neighborhoods?

Can you walk "with ease" if you are wearing a Star necklace or maybe have a kippa on your head?

The whole issue of Sharia courts is pretty bogus. Pretty much every developed country allows business contracts to be interpreted by private arbitration. That could be agreed upon to be a Sharia court, a Jewish religious court, a Roman Catholic tribunal* or an individual priest who promises to uphold Canon Law.

The arbitration can be binding if both parties agree. What goes unsaid but is always true is that the judgment of the religious court or private arbitrator can never counter civil law. For example, it can't order someone to be flogged, and it can't order a division of marital assets not permitted under civil law. And so on.

* The primary role of Roman Catholic tribunals is to grant annulments.

That's interesting. I didn't realize you can do whatever you want as long as it's in "private arbitration". Wish someone told me that it was this easy!

But what else would I expect from a country that is allowing incest marriage now. Ever look at the disfigurements of some of the people walking around?

I have seen YouTube walking and bus videos of guys wearing yarmulkes walking without issue through neighborhoods that appear to be overwhelmingly Muslim but I don't know enough about London's neighborhoods to say whether those were the supposed no go zones. I was genuinely surprised though.

Paris also supposedly has no-go zones, but they actually are neighborhoods with lower average incomes that qualify for special economic incentives.
