PP405
Posted by LuchAAA on Sun Oct 5 01:03:47 2025 PP405 is an experimental peptide that could cure baldness. It is about 3-4 years away from FDA approval. Hopefully this will be retroposted for the right reason in a few years.

This doesn't make Ozempic bad. It just makes it less useful than it sounds.

Theres always going to be folks that can tolerate certain drugs and those who can't. Penicillin is not useful to people who are allergic to it but yet it is very useful.

Psychologically they will do anything to lose weight, and will suffer through the side effects for as long as possible, to lose weight.

Yes, a reduction in calories is still the best strategy. However, tracking macros(fat, protein, carbs) also plays a role. And if you get into fat ratios(monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, and saturated), it gets even trickier. For the most part, weight loss threads don't go over too well on OTchat. So on my end, I won't get into this. Plus, an organized group and gangstalkers are watching me. I really have to filter my posts again.

The only reason dieting often fails is that the urge to eat a certain amount is just always going to be there and it’s hard not to succumb. The reason that some people are just fat and others aren’t is because people have either less or more of an appetite. I don’t believe in the myths of people having different metabolisms. “I have a slow metabolism” means I eat a lot of calories. Humans obey the laws of thermodynamics.

The weight loss is a side effect. And technically the drug isn’t even called Ozempic when it’s sold for weight loss, it’s called Wegovy in that case. It’s the same molecule anyway.

Pacific Island people have spend centuries living on islands where the only foods are very energy poor. So they’re predisposed to eating a lot except that now the foods are energy dense.

Not as extreme as the Samoans, but still a serious issue. The obesity, diabetes, and intolerance of alcohol are all related.

This was always true on reservations. Not a lot of calories but lots of disease associated with overeating.

Including an extensive study comparing a tribe of Indians along the US-Mexico border. The tribe is separated by the border. The ones in Mexico eat a more traditional diet. The ones in the US, living on a reservation are suffering from all kinds of ailments. Researchers noted the main difference was food quality.
