The colder weather is certainly a factor in why there are more new cases now. There are studies that show masks do help, so it's hard to know which to believe. Most places expect people to wear masks, so I generally do wear one when I go anywhere. If I'm in an outdoor location where I don't see other pedestrians, I'll take it off, but put it back on before entering a building or approaching other people. |

They have things called infectious disease wards, or now covid wards. To treat you in a hallway or a parking lot, the people have to wear special equipment, and use extra equipment. Secondly, a covid corpse is so outlandishly infectious. It's been several months since I read how infectious, I just remember being ahgast at it. It has been classified by the EOC as a direct threat, that makes it easier to mandate. There will be some exceptions that will require attempts to provide accommodations if reasonable and possible. There are some medical reasons, and some may cite religious objections, some churches such as the Catholic Church have already declared it to be ok, so a request for a religious exemption would not be able to cite Catholic teaching as a valid reason. Obviously, there are likely others. |

Thanks to President Obama allowing this research, we have therapies that are showing great promise against this heinous disease.Some Catholics may have issues with these. Better to use masks and social distancing if you oppose this use of scientific technology. I’m uncertain about the vaccines seeking emergency use, nor those in testing. |
