Personally I dislike both, but I am scared of Trump more because there is no filter to check his impulsiveness. Clinton is the devil I know (because you will just get the same tired repeat of her husband's policies and Obama's policies) versus Trump as the devil I don't. I am seriously considering the platform of Gary Johnson in this election. |

Good viewpoint if you can't stand moderately liberal policies a la Clinton/Obama, as long as you don't live in a swing state. If you live in FL, PA, NH, IA, or NV (I'm assuming CO and VA are OK for Clinton if it's a close race), enough people with your attitude will elect Trump President. |

Plus the fireworks were so cool.....especially knowing Trump wanted the same but the RNc would not let him do it due to the stage design. Plus it was obviously a smaller arena. |

My first involvement in politics was at age 8, when I volunteered to hand out literature in Riverdale for Jonathan C Bingham for Congress. My family was as republican as it got, Bingham was a democrat. But we were all tired of the antics of Charles ("Boss") Buckley in the Bronx. When I got out of school, went straight into reporting politics on the radio. This *IS* how it is, how it always has been, and despite decades of trying to persuade people to get off their asses and DO something about it, it still continues all these years later. Like I said to the turtle, if it bothers you, then get off your ass and fight it. Crickets continue. |

I don't live in any of the states you listed, but there are aspects of Clinton/Obama policies which Hillary will continue that are quite leftist and not in the Olog-hai definition of leftist. We cannot continue to denounce the police and glorify criminals who are dead because they tried to attack police. We cannot continue to curry favor with Communists and Muslim extremists while denouncing our allies. We cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that if you look who is attacking the United States and democracies across the globe, it is Muslim fundamentalists. I disagree with Trump's proposed solution to the problem as it is vastly overreaching, but we cannot just short circuit the vetting process as the Obama administration wants to do. We need sensible gun control legislation, but there is nothing sensible at the solutions put forward by the Democrats which will strip away the rights of law-abiding gun owners who want a gun for self-defense, which is their right under the Constitution. I am not talking about owning military grade weapons or automatic weapons, but if I am a law abiding citizen who can pass all of the necessary background checks I should be able to own a handgun if I want to. |

It's Trump who is saying we should pull back. The vetting process for letting refugees into this country is extremely long and detailed. What parts of it do you want strengthened? What is Clinton proposing in terms of gun control that offends you so much? Do you think that CT and NY laws are so repressive that reasonable people can't defend themselves? She's not asking for anything stronger, and the Supreme Court has upheld those laws by declining to review them. |

The Democratic party also has severe problems right now.The Democratic Party's "problem" is it had an Independent candidate running as a Democrat in the primaries, who brought a whole lot of supporters under the Democratic tent who would have otherwise been strictly third party or completely uninterested. As a result, you have a small fraction of those people disillusioned and going home, and a much larger number - including Sanders himself - now supporting the mainstream candidate. The Republicans nominated a demagogue who now has mainstream voices in the party, including a couple of primary opponents, actively campaigning against him. That's a much yuuuuger problem. |
