My first involvement in politics was at age 8, when I volunteered to hand out literature in Riverdale for Jonathan C Bingham for Congress. My family was as republican as it got, Bingham was a democrat. But we were all tired of the antics of Charles ("Boss") Buckley in the Bronx.When I got out of school, went straight into reporting politics on the radio. This *IS* how it is, how it always has been, and despite decades of trying to persuade people to get off their asses and DO something about it, it still continues all these years later. Like I said to the turtle, if it bothers you, then get off your ass and fight it. Crickets continue. |
