I don't live in any of the states you listed, but there are aspects of Clinton/Obama policies which Hillary will continue that are quite leftist and not in the Olog-hai definition of leftist. We cannot continue to denounce the police and glorify criminals who are dead because they tried to attack police. We cannot continue to curry favor with Communists and Muslim extremists while denouncing our allies. We cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that if you look who is attacking the United States and democracies across the globe, it is Muslim fundamentalists. I disagree with Trump's proposed solution to the problem as it is vastly overreaching, but we cannot just short circuit the vetting process as the Obama administration wants to do. We need sensible gun control legislation, but there is nothing sensible at the solutions put forward by the Democrats which will strip away the rights of law-abiding gun owners who want a gun for self-defense, which is their right under the Constitution. I am not talking about owning military grade weapons or automatic weapons, but if I am a law abiding citizen who can pass all of the necessary background checks I should be able to own a handgun if I want to. |
