You honestly don't know?

You haven't named any.

You really posted reasons for why you dislike the Sabbath without knowing if those reasons are even valid?

Actually, I posted reasons I know are valid.

I'm not Jewish for one, and I am not starting taunting threads about what I eat.

You aren't even Jewish, and yet for some reason (what could that be), you feel the need to tell people what you are eating at certain times.

I wouldn't yell at her, as I couldn't care less what she eats.

Yet you care what I eat? Why do you find me so fascinating that you feel the need to get involved in this thread at length?

Furthermore, it would be her that has the problem for feeling the need to post what she is eating to taunt people on certain days.

Ah, once again you are stymied by your lack of a theory of mind.

I know this is difficult for you to grasp, but other people have minds of their own. When somebody does something, they probably did it for their own reasons, and not for your benefit.

I didn't pay attention at all...

Aw, that argument is so cute in a pathetic kind of way.

"I dedicated several hours to thinking about you just so I could tell you that I don't care enough to spend any time thinking about you!" It's like you have a hate-crush on me and you don't quite know how to express it. *condescending headpat*

And of course, just as anyone else familiar with your pathetic antics, knew right away who started the thread in order to get attention.

No one started the thread in order to get attention. Again, your lack of a theory of mind prevents you from understanding what's happened here. I posted a thread to celebrate Passover, and the fact that it got your attention is entirely incidental. However, because you spend your entire life in a solipsistic bubble, you assume that because you paid attention to it, I must have posted it for the sole purpose of causing you to pay attention to it.

I already told you. If you have trouble understanding nuance and context, then feel free to ask me for a dumbed-down version that you might be better equipped to understand.

I know it was a quasi-potluck. I asked my question knowing that. So...?

So... where are you having trouble?

Since you now know it was a quasi-potluck, exactly why do you consider it "pretty asshole-ish, not to mention stupid" that I was asked to pick up the ham?

Please give me the dumbed down version that I may understand. In fact, please always give me that version.

Because what do you know about ham if you've never had it? Wouldn't someone who knows a thing or two about ham be in a better position to bring the Passover ham? And if you've never had ham, then there must be a reason for that. I can think of some possibilities, and if any of them are the case, then it would be insulting to you to be asked to bring the ham. And if they didn't know you'd never had ham, then surely you'd have then told them, at which time they would then ask you to bring something else. And if they still asked that you bring it, then that's asshole-ish and stupid.

Eat, drink, sleep...

What are you, an animal? I wouldn't really call those "fulfilling," and while they may be enjoyable they're certainly hampered by Shabbos restrictions.

...spend time with family...

No one in my family observes Shabbos, and they'd find it difficult and annoying to spend time with someone who did.

...bore yourself silly...

Wait, what? Did you really say that? No, wait. You said:

...go to shul...

Which is basically the same thing.

...spend time with friends...

None of my friends observe Shabbos and they'd find it difficult and annoying to spend time with someone who did.

...read, take walks...

I can do that regardless, and both are made considerably more difficult by Shabbos restrictions.

...take my kids to the playground...

You want me to babysit your kids? LOL!

Anyway, I don't have any kids. In fact, I hate kids. I would not find it fun or fulfilling to take any kids anywhere.

No. But most have.

In that case, you actually pay a price to observe Shabbos; you deliberately cut yourself off from any housing that doesn't allow for easy observance.

It's way easier to climb 50 flights than to survive influenza.

I was at Carlsbad Caverns last November. The elevators were OOS. So I (and hundreds of other people) walked down 80 flights and walked back up 80 flights. It was worth it. And I'm a few decades older than you.
