Which only allows for the most superficial of analyses of these people, what you overhear on their car audio, what they drive, how they dress, any other stickers or ornaments on the vehicle. Doesn't really get into their thinking or motivation one iota.

Kinda makes your analysis a bit invalid, ya think?

Thanks for attacking.

Of course I've had a few conversations with such people.

Remember that thread about the Confederate flag on s/b I-75 @ e/b I-4?

Well they changed the flag. Still confederate but not "The KKK version" as Spider-Pig says.

When I get back from the beach I'll do a google search to find the version now on display. It's mostly white with union jack in corner.

Do you feel better now that you lost 35 pounds? Do you measure body fat percentage?

You're welcome.

It is impossible to consider that anyone that would associate themselves with the confederacy doesn't concur with the hate and racism from which it was formed.

I do feel better but I do not believe in BMI, it's found to be a flawed measurement and indicates nothing of general health.

BMI is different from bf%.

BF% is accurate.

On my end, I'm going to aim to drop 3% points of pure fat by the end of July. One waist size. That would be good.

I won't argue about the confederate flag.

fiogf49gjkf0d
Getting an accurate measure of that is a elaborate process. I don't think it's necessary, nor does it really help to determine overall health.

Losing size involves building muscle in lieu of fat, it won't change and many actually add to weight. Good luck with that. One bit of advice...don't try to rush it.

I've had excellent success in mountain trail hiking for building bone. No osteoporosis in the hips anymore, with no biophosphanes! Need to find a way to get similar results for the spine. It's a concern for women especially, but also happens to men as they age.

fiogf49gjkf0d
Losing a waist size does not indicate losing muscle mass. But I do think it's impossible to lose only fat. If you lose a large amount of fat, you'll lose some muscle mass too. That's why I think weight lifting is so important.

Glad the hikes have helped. I loved "hiking" in Forest Park in October and November when I lived in Queens.

I still think you hate men.

You're telling me!

For some reason. my doctor insists on telling my BMI measurements during every annual checkup. When I went in last year, I had lost enough weight to be seriously scrawny and for the first time the BMI pronounced me "not overweight." Now that I'm back up to a healthy weight I'd probably measure as "obese."

You are right on that. I don't see how you could lose waist size without loss of oth. Or how weightlifting wuld really help in that respect.

If you hike, you need some serious (over 30 degrees) inclines. Going down is just as important as going up. Both work different muscle groups, as well as jarring bones. That's what did it apparently. Still a pleasant surprise. Also gives the legs great muscle tone. You can't get all those muscles with weights.

I weighed 214 this morning. Following the advice of Jason Ferruggia. If I can get down to 210 for the summer that would be good. Lose pure fat.

Thinking about doing deadlifts 2xwk for now.
