They aren't center-left at all.The Democratic Party has very few of the old commies left. They went to coalition partner SEL. The Margherita Party who helped form the Democratic Party were centrists. Their 2013 coalition also has a small centrist party called Democratic Center. This makes it a center-left coalition. Democratic Party (center-left) Democratic Center (center) SEL (the ragbag Left you mentioned). Because some idiot made a law that awarded the largest party 200 extra seats. It may be a very idiotic law but it's the law and they have a House majority because of it. |
