He was the closest thing to Gordon Gekko sen in real life. Bain liquidated as many companies as they sustained. The sole parameter was maximizing their profit. No regard was ever considered for the existing management and employees. Some got lucky and kept their jobs...typically at lower pay and fewer if any benefits. Many lost pensions they had worked for years in anticipation of collecting, and received no compensation for their loss. |
