Gordon Heights and N Amityville are terrrible neighborhoods, just like Wyandanch.

Gordon Heights really intrigues me, especially considering the legends/rumors I've read about that place, and how far it is from the city and 3 other predominately black areas in Suffolk County. Let's be honest though, people in the suburbs do tend to exaggerate crime, and nothing in Suffolk County could even touch NYC's worst areas, and the stats prove it.

You are right about Wheatly Heights, it's income is probably similar to the better Black neighborhoods in Southeastern Queens.

Good to know, hopefully Wyandanch, North Amityville, and Gordon Heights could all turn into neighborhoods like Wheatley Heights or Rosedale one day.
