So the Europeans can get away with smaller class sizes because they spend less on salaries and benefits when compared to the well-funded districts here in the US. Plus, I suspect that the Europeans get higher quality teachers given the bias against female career work in certain countries. Is Belgian schooling all day from say 7AM to 3PM or is it basically a half day programme where the children go home around noon or so? |
