All you've done is graphically illustrate the complete ignorance with which we Americans approach communism or even socialism. None of those things are a natural consequence of communism. They were merely byproducts of the police states which attempted to implement communism. It's entirely possible a communist US would completely avoid the problems other nations.

Certainly the mess we got ourselves into with our laissez faire capitalist economy of the last decade should push us toward a bit more socialism when it comes to essential services.
