At least here on S.I. we only have a handful of blocks with ASP, streets that are too narrow for the new wider sanitiation trucks to navigate, like down in New Dorp Beach off of Cedar Grove Avenue.Some parts of Brooklyn are still without ASP?? Into the late 1970s nearly everything south of Avenue U was ASP-free, with exceptions. Parking meter rates on New Dorp Lane (and everywhere else I assume) just went from 25 cents for 30 minutes to 25 cents for 20 minutes. The meters have the new time limit on them is small type, but the NYCDOT green and white parking signs do not indicate and have never indicated the time limit. The NYCDOT is helping to kill off business on New Dorp Lane. Why shop there and feed the meters when you can drive to the SI Mall or the Home Depot/Target Mall and park for hours for FREE. |
