Fact is I used to be a Democrat before that party left me.......think Ronald Reagan and millions of others as that party went bonkers and in time completely over the cliff. FDR was a great President who came into power during the greatest economic upheaval in our history and was immensely successful for helping turn the GD around and then leading his country through World War II before passing on just with victory in sight.I happen to think that Social Security was one of the greatest achievements in our history, giving economic security to millions who had no thing of the sort before. And, yes, I am a union man as well. d Your p roblem is trying to put me in a box as I should think like all your types should. I believe in local government and a strong defense, independence in energy and death to illegal immigration and a toughening of our laws to protect our citizens from mayhem from the low lifers that pretty much rule the Democrat Party. But you can't put me in a box and say I'm not conservative on all things because I happen to believe in SS, union membership and Civil Rights. Most Americans believe in those too. |
