I read it. If you imagine Trump as a cunning mafia-esque linguist, you can see a quid pro quo.That is, until you learn Ukraine didn't even know the aid was held up until a month after the call. Then they got the aid anyway, without any Biden dirt being provided. So, they didn't know the quid wasn't coming during the call, then they got the quid without providing the pro quo. The more I read about this the more I think this is another fantasy, like Russiagate and Kavanaugh. Impeachment is the Democrats' only chance to win in 2020 because they are: (1) - Incapable of putting forward a platform Americans actually want (2) - Have no candidate who can beat Trump on policy Many of Trump's policies are straight out of the democrat handbook, but because the media has successfully brainwashed their base into "anything the Orange Man does is bad" they are forced to go far left for potential voters. Then they start trying to out-left each other on the debate stage and go off into crazyland. Mike Pence is a "traditional" Republican, and so would be easier for Democrats to beat as they will be able to move back towards the center. Right now, they've ceded the center to Trump. |
