Buttigeig Declares Presidential Candidacy

South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigeig has officially announced his candidacy for President. The openly gay, married Democrat adds his name to an already crowded field of hopefuls, which includes Kamala Harris and Corey Booker.

Should Buttigeig (say "Buddha Judge") be nominated and elected, he would become the first gay President, and that would be quite a rebuttal to Trump's Administration. However, that is an extreme long shot, given the bigger names already running. It's still an historical moment, though.
