At the time, President Obama had been deporting thousands of undocumented persons. Some of these kids....who really should not have been...were errantly deported. So DACA was created to avoid those innocent victims of the system being unjustly sent back to a place they know nothing of, don't speak the language, have no family, etc.In a sense it WAS an emergency, but not the kind of thing mandating a declaration. |
