I suppose the reason for that is cheap labour. After all, with minimum wage being so high, I guess finding folks that will work even cheaper serves our Ferenghi well. :(Guess who was pushing for this in the first place? Yep. The insurance industry, tired of paying out for undocumented drivers. The same targeted group is probably also using fake SSID numbers and yet paying into the fund even if they can't collect from it. So let's cut to the chase. If the issue was taken anywhere near as serious as it's being sold, shouldn't those employers be going to jail? If ANYTHING, that would end the problem right there. Ah ... but that would be communism interfering the the "free invisible hand of the sacred marketplace." :( |
