Speaking of reality, the 988 acres in question are in "Area C," the portion of the West Bank under complete Israeli control per the Oslo Accords. The Jewish settlements in Gush Etzion date back to the 1920s. Funny how land that belonged to Arabs before 1948 but was claimed by Israel in later wars is believed to rightfully belong to Arabs, but land that belonged to Jews before 1948 but was claimed by Arabs in later wars is believed to rightfully belong to Arabs.
