I disagree and think that a guaranteed minimum income through a negative income tax should be used instead of a minimum wage. Consequently, the minimum wage should be abolished. The minimum wage requires private actors to unilaterally subsidize the government's social goals.

Since that isn't going to happen any time soon, for now, the minimum wage ought to be raised.
