Because the ten commandments are the core of the Christian religion as well, the only difference being that IF you stop sinning, then you are forgiven for your past offenses because that was the whole point of Jesus dying on the cross to take away the penalties of those sins so long as you stop. Secondly, honoring the Sabbath might be a different day of the week (because the seventh day is counted differently and then they screwed up the calendar) but it's supposed to be kept every bit as holy (except for retailers). In that particular statement, you seem to be implying that Christians are godless and that's insulting.

Then there's the "didn't found" bit ... His intention was to modify Judaism and not necessarily build a church, but Christians DO accept him as the Moschiach which was promised in the Torah. So I found that comment dismissive. Now I understand the difference between Judaism and Christianity in all of those arguments, but like I said if I were to write out the reverse of those statements, I'd be instantly pinned as a rabid antisemite for questioning any of that. Just wanted to make that point, that's all.

That all said, I don't take any of this too seriously ...
