Hagel is a liberal Republican who served his country with distinction while in uniform. There are, however, some questions about his thinking, now. The Democrats may have won the White House but they have not yet won the right to circumvent the "Advice and Consent" clause of the Constitution. Until then duly elected representatives of the people are expected to be satisfied through questioning, that the nominee is well suited to serve. They are not Nazis. The people who support this scrutiny are not Nazis. It's the people who rant and rave against people who believe in our constitution and do not blindly follow the party whim who are the true Nazis. Reality checks are in order. |
