Hagel (a liberal Republican), who is an honorable man. was picked because the obama administration felt that if sequestration went through and things turned very bad in this country, it would be nice to have a Republican holding the bag. Sorry but that's the way it is and and I'm sorry that Hagel does not see the reality that he's being used.
