N3: Service discontinued. Why not replace this route with a branch of the N25? I see ridership potential. N17: Service discontinued. Then N16 buses need to be rerouted to serve Mercy Hospital. N95: Service discontinued. That's very strange seeing the amount of office workers and students that use the route, if the MTA's going to cut the route then they can at least reroute the N70. |

FINALLY the Q89 is on the chopping block and the M10 is saved (although cut to CC). That rout is needed in Harlem/UWS.The Q79, from what I see, is lightly used off peak but should still be kept around for rush hour service. Until Marcy and Essex/Delancey is ADA compliant, the B39 should stay. Any service going to an airport should not have their hours shortened like they are planning for the Q48 |

N94 was doing very well last time I rode it. Also, N23 Harbor Rd gets a fair share of riders. Generally the only stops with boardings between Harbor Rd and the train station on the Main St runs are Harbor Rd (generally from people who live at stops served by the N23 Harbor Rd but can't use them because that bus only runs 3 times in the AM and twice in the PM) and the library (senior citizens living at The Landmark), and that's only 5 people max. N23 Harbor Rd buses get most boardings at Bay Green Ln and Charles Av, and also have passengers from Manorhaven getting off at Charlves Av to work at the nursing home.Harbor Rd is where the 2 housing projects are in Port Washington. There is also a fairly new senior living neighborhood built a few years back. This is NOT a service to be eliminating. Proposal: N28 extended to Port Washington LIRR station, then via the N23 Harbor Rd routing (N23 reverted to entirely Main St service), and terminating in one of three ways: -Running down Channel Dr -Looping thru Soundview -Looping thru Manhasset Isle |

I don't know if I would describe it as "relaxed", but here's what I recall:If it's the same as when I went to Murrow (1974-77), they have 4 cycles instead of 2 semesters, and each day there are "bands" instead of "periods". And the bands had different legnths, so the time of each subject would fluctuate. For example, Tuesday and Thursday you might have Geometry during "C" band (1 hour long), but on Monday and Wednesday you would have it during "E" band (40 minutes long), and you wouldn't have Geometry at all on Fridays. I believe that's how it was, it's been almost 33 years since I graduated. Maybe a more recent student/graduate would know better. |
