The speed limit being reduced to 25 mph in 2014, the reduction of speed limits in numerous roads with higher speed limits such as 35 or 40 mph down to 25 mph and the proliferation of speed cameras made a lot of bus operators afraid as the MTA suspends bus operators for speed camera violations.
