One of the best post responses I’ve ever gotten on here, thank you for taking the time to write this, it’s my first time learning about a lot of it.

Even before the 63rd Street Connector was built, I would still say that the Q66 to Queensbridge wasn’t exactly necessary with the (N) and (R) trains nearby as well as the Q19A for anyone who was going to the area around 21st Street and 35th Avenue. I get where the city was coming from though, they wanted to divert people from the more crowded Astoria and Queens Boulevard line trains to Queensbridge where an empty train awaited to take them into Manhattan. I’m guessing this was all planned and implemented before Queensbridge became Queensbridge if you know what I mean.
