Some drivers actually liked Rikers before vision zero and 21st street being messed up for a bus lane that benefits no one. One operator once told me it’s “express without the city” outside of visiting hours and even the visitors don’t bother drivers as long as the drivers mind their own business. I know of some operators under Queens Surface who would use cell phones while driving the Q101R and get away with it. |
