MBS can't hold meetings like ERA does but exposure to the organization is a sure way to drum up members. Exposure to the magazine would be a plus, although from what I have gathered, there's a small percentage of young folks interested in anything older than an RTS or, at best, a fishbowl. I've noticed that too. The folks on bus chat seem much more interested in current operations as opposed to historical information. (WB's excellent almanac not withstanding). History is very popular over on the sub-chat board. It may be that when a rail line is discontinued it usually leaves behind some kind of physical presence which prompts the question "where did it go".
