True, except for the occasional defunct terminal, which generates some interest with older fans. The Orchard Beach Bus Terminal in the winter comes to mind. As does the bus terminal at Bear Mountain which is still used for school charter buses. Then there is the underground trolley terminal at the Manhattan end of the Queensborough Bridge. The trolleys stopped running in 1957 but the terminal was used by Steinway Transit buses for a few years after that. I was lucky enough to ride both trolleys and buses into the terminal.
