And why is the pedestrian traffic so great? It is because of the large number of people exiting the subway to board buses on the street.

Should you care to look at the position of this parking lot in relation to the bus stops, you will notice that the pedestrians are those who are within walking distance. All except 1 bus stop is north of this location as are the subway entrances. The single exception (Q58) is on the west side of Main St; its passengers don't cross Main St to reach the subway.
