The only way I can see to reduce bus volume without cutting service to have more through routing with fewer routes terminating in Flushing. Given Main Street is the last subway stop with so many transferring to buses, I can't see through routing or cutting service as plausible solutions. A terminal is a plausible solution because of all the curb space that would be freed and sidewalk congestion that would be reduced.
