Larry, I used to live on Kingdom Avenue & Amboy Road. I rode the R-115/116 in the early 1960's. I still have a 1965 S.I. yellow pages and the transit map printed in it had the route marked 115-116. The routing you have is perfect. I forget when they started to retire the Macks but their signs had it as 115/116. Do you or anyone remember when the Macks were retired? I know when the bridge opened the city sent ten GMC's to cover the R-7 because the Macks could never make the grade on the bridge. Thanks |
