THANK GOD! I hope that's true because I officialy hate O5's. They suck, finally some O7's. The minute they go into service, I'm going out to get pics. I hope they get around 75-80 of them.

The O5s are awesome IMO, but they have a high breakdown rate which ruins it for me.

SIR: They sent them O5's in January and it's nice that SI is currently 90% GOH'd but about same percentage of KB's buses are rusted out, and most of the jacked up buses are from SI. The interiors have been fixed as best they could be but Last time I checked rust isn't an issue that can be easily fixed.

Not too long after Sept 4th, when the S89 began, the swapping commenced. It started with CS swapping and then with the Bronx depots. I would say that the peak of the changes was around October and November (it's all in SubChat's search engine!). In January, the major change was with the 93xx and 94xx Novas headed to Yukon while there were a few minor swaps with KB, CS and CAS.

We already know that the jacked up buses were from SI but that was because they were run into the ground prior to the changes and were sent out without a GOH, basically to outsource the problems as you stated. The SI division buses that were sent out did not receive the improvements made under the new SI Division management, while those that were staying on Staten Island did receive improvements and overhauls. Do you get it or no?

SI should have been forced to wait in line for new buses longer. UP, Grand Av, Flatbush, KB, GH and CS all had to suffer because of SI. And while SI's fleet has improved, you have to realize the problem wasn't fixed, it was just outsourced.

According to MTA CAS Hawk, CAS depot will receive 3800-4025 over the next 8 months. 4026-4199 will go to yukon giving the SI division apx. 400 new Orion Vii's and replacing all of our local buses
