Thanks.

I don't know what that is. IIRC there was a UP yard just before this location, but that loco was several hundred yards away at the end of that track.

I didn't realize at the time that this engine had previously been involved in an accident.

Nice set of pics. thanks for sharing.
Sometimes, I usually park at either Willow Station or Artesia Transit Center and go Metro all the way up to the city.

Construction at Industry Station has been going on for a while now

Access to the RFW was obviously part of the design, but is now restricted.

IIRC they began that after the crash that took out #625 and #623 - a number of fatalities were in the forward end of #625 - when it derailed after hitting that SUV and plowed into the standing engine.
The entire forward end of that unit was obliterated.

Thanks. I usually park at Wardlow, I guess an attachment from when I used to live next door in Bixby Knolls. I actually should use Willow more because the small Wardlow parking lots get full and on weekdays I have to park on the street a couple hundred yards away.

It was like that before that crash according to the late Steve Hoskins in this post.

I'm not sure the story you got wasn't BS. In the same time period, the Baltimore MTA Administrator, Ron Hartman initiated a study of converting a bus line to ETB's (the new label for trolleybus). The reason was that the Feds were coming up with new rules for air pollution in urban areas.

The study proposed converting the 19 - Harford Road line to ETB, as the line had an on-line garage and the two branches and express trips would remain worked by diesels and 45 ETB's would be obtained to for the Carney - State Center main line. The major cost would be the ETB's and the overhead wires and feeder system.

The proposed pollution changes never occurred and Baltimore's return to the trolleybus died a stillborn death.

ETB = "electric trolley bus". What other power would a bus get from trolley wire . . . ?
