It's just that there are a few bad apples who get caught doing some very illegal stuff (like attempting to operate a laid-up R40 or ripping a rollsign out of an R38) who make the ENTIRE community look bad. So we all get a bad rap when most of us respect the system better than most anyone else. But I guess idiots will be idiots, and we can't really do anything about it. |

If they're foamer-ish enough to try and make off with a roll sign, then it stands to reason that they'd attend every excursion they possibly can.Ban them from heritage trips, both revenue and Transit Museum. Hand out "Do not allow on premises" posters to NYTM personnel and the conductors manning the vintage trains. Maybe then they'll get the picture. |

It's funny that on Friday, 2 cops in a cruiser from the 23rd stopped my friend and I after taking photos innicently around 97th, and Park of Metro North. The cops thought I was gonna take photos to blow up the trains around there! Believe me, it is a very tough place in which to do so, and if someone were to do that, they'd do it in a place with the majority of the population, not when, and where a train is running! |

It seems those ppl were getting off at 135 on the (C), and the white kid was carrying a rollsign. His bag contained all the tools required, and from what I heard, the Steven kid had rollers in his bag and one on a garbage bag. The McCrappers kid had his video camera and a rollsign changer. They said they did it when the train was on its way to Euclid. So there's the story for ya. |
