NBC (Nuclear/Biological/Chemical) sensing equipment needs to be in or around a ventilation system to work properly. I imagine the probe and its associated equipment is in the car roof area, inaccessible while the car is still submerged. Also, extracting the sensor suite underwater might be an ecological issue, since there may be the hazard of accidental chemical release into the ocean.I'm guessing the sensor suite is near (or built into) the AC units on the car(s) in question...and before anybody sics Homeland Insecurity on me, I'm just GUESSING, d*mnit...lol! |

I find it disgusting that you seem to 'fight' with more or less anyone who disagrees with you. I think if you were removed from this board, the amount of arguing and such would decrease a great deal. You, more than anyone else here, get into the greatest number of petty, stupid and immature 'fights' and arguments as you seem unable to accept any personal criticism whatsoever. In short, as said, you are a piece of shit and that's no 'unwarranted' attack, either. |

Airbags will only get a car to the surface, and a carbody is not exactly designed to withstand the forces the sea puts on it, so you can't very well tow it back to shore while it is submerged up to the roofline. A submarine is a wholly different animal, being designed to withstand the ocean as it is it doesn't have to ride back to shore on a barge. Since you'd need a crane there to lift the car from the surface onto the barge for the ride home you may as well have it at least assist in the lift from the bottom, perhaps working in conjunction with a lift bag system. |

Always find it amusing when someone actually thinks I *care* about what they think of me. :)I'd LOVE to see him out between a pair of arnines trying to figure out how to open the doors when the drum switch is open, or the switch is dropped on the number 1 end. Or perhaps, we can have him close the drum switch and see what happens if he didn't do a four-quadrant before doing so. Eventually he'll piss off someone who actually cares, and I want to be as far away from that "police investigation" as possible. Heh. It was such a PEACEFUL two weeks tho'. |

Hey Rockparkman - I did some checking and found 3 small inaccuracies in the original posting.1) You clarified one - the TA will not attempt to raise the car in question. 2) The car in question was not reefed prematurely. 3) The car in question was not equiped with a radiological / biological detection system. However, the rest of the story appears to be true. |
