Yes, MTA NYCT is hiring fare checkers to scan OMNY cards, phones, and credit cards to make sure people paid their fare on buses and subways.
How will this work out?
Once they are hired I guess they will let passengers enter buses through the back door again.
The job description says they will scan in stations too. So I guess they will check people waiting for a subway train?
I can only imagine the kind of interactions F/C's will have with the public.
