Looks to me like the tracks must have been raised after a rebuild to turn this into a low platform; NJT could probably do the same if they wanted to convert Hoboken to high platformsJust to clarify, I meant that NJT could reverse what was done to this high platform when it was converted to a low platform, in order to turn Hoboken's low platforms to high. Then again, unless the danger from flooding is mitigated or eliminated, NJT may not want to keep this terminal open in the future . . . |

It looks as if it's the bumper block or something at the end of the track, with what might be a high or low platform in the shadows beyond it.Apparently the southernmost track (18?) because there's no platform track to the left of it. Odd place for a long-distance train. Maybe it was serviced there, then moved to one of the lower numbered tracks closer to the waiting room? |

Maybe that was the servicing location. Still looks very much like a high platform. And bumper blocks are never at the side of the track. |
