It looks as if it's the bumper block or something at the end of the track, with what might be a high or low platform in the shadows beyond it.

Apparently the southernmost track (18?) because there's no platform track to the left of it.

Odd place for a long-distance train. Maybe it was serviced there, then moved to one of the lower numbered tracks closer to the waiting room?
