PA cars have certain extra contacts in their electric portions which NYCTA cars lack. In fact, according to a PATH car equipment foreman I spoke to a few years ago, the reason that PATH changed from H2 drawheads to OB is because WABCO was unable to supply electric portions with enough contacts for what was needed on the PATH equipment. |

PATH cars once has H2C couplers which they lost wit their GOH. If they can change back, what electricals would be lost that are of use at a museum ? |

I believe most of it has to do with the selective door operation which really wouldn’t be needed in museum environment. |

Why would anyone back you up, now that's a real question. You just don't get it do you? Seems to me you have you're head far up you're anal cavity. Now you're just running around being jealous, because the museum is making so much progress and you're not there to see it. So you take a dump on everyone's efforts. |

I've seen pictures and videos, that museum is alive. It's a living breathing dinosaur that has survived all the odds. Those pictures and videos all over the internet, so don't tell me or anyone else that they don't exist, cause they do. |

The progress the museum has made in the last two years is spectacular. It goes to show you, nothing is impossible when a group of volunteers work together with a common goal in mind. Great job folks. |

They can be and have been terms from an entity, being goverment or private, stipulating what you can and can not do to or with the artifact after acquiring it. I am not privy to what TMNY terms were in this particular car. Here again I am NOT wrong. And what other times have I been wrong enough that this gets a "here again"??? Anyhow, of course such stipulations exist. But in this situation such a stipulation world be stupid. Which is my point... But surely you are privvy to the terms your museum agreed to! Care to shed some relevant light? |

In order to accomplish things at a volunteer museum, it takes both money and getting dirty. I've done many hours and monetary contributions for BERA and enjoyed every moment of it. When R17 6688 got a new paint job back in the early 2000s, I helped, donated, and assisted in Ops and track work. And its a great feeling. While the PA1 is the last remaining one of it's kind, she does need work before anybody can think of joyriding on it. So before arguing about letting it run or why its only a display piece, let's fix it up first then argue nonsense later, kabish?Vader |

It seems to contradict this statement: "This car is considered an "Artifact" and is for display purposes only. This car will NOT be used as an in service car at the museum, for it is a silent reminder of what happened on that dark day in American history." |

There is still no intention of it being in regular service at TMNY. Ultimately when enough money is raised, a separate building will be put up to house 143 and the other WTC artifacts. |
