There was no original lie and there was no follow up lie. I have absolutely no history of lying.I linked right to your lies. Oh, and here's another one. Which means you lied again right now. Irrelevant. Remember the context. So you seriously don't think Person B's response was appropriate given the circumstances? Just to recap— Person A says: "I've kidnapped your son and I'm going to rape and murder him unless you pay me $10 million (although I might just rape him if you give me $5 million) and there's nothing you can do because I've barricaded myself in your office. You know, the one you fired me from just because I embezzled from a few clients' accounts. In fact, here's a photo of me and your decidedly distressed son proving that I'm not making this up. You have two hours to bring me the ransom— none of us are leaving this office alive if you don't but I'll let you have an extra two hours if you publicly announce that you were responsible for my embezzlement." Person B replies: "YOU'RE AN ABSOLUTE ASSHOLE! You can go fuck yourself and die if you think you'll get any compromise out of me! In fact, guess what, fucker? I'm gonna kill you right now. See if I don't!" If you think Person B's response wasn't civil enough despite the circumstances, what should he have said? What would you have said? |

The only coherent relevant part of your post was about bolt cutters and my previous post addressed that and how it didn't show that you didn't want to trespass. No, your previous post indicated that you lack the reading comprehension skills to understand what I said. LOL, anyone who has any interest in the subject and who is isn't a complete moron already knows what the ROW is like! We assumed you were already aware of that! That's why we answered as we did! Ah, right. You lack a theory of mind. You know that the ROW is dangerously overgrown, and you aren't capable of understanding that other people are different, so you assume everyone must know the fine details of abandoned rail lines in the remoter parts of Queens. Sane people, on the other hand, actually did respond appropriately. We rightly understood your post as asking how you could trespass without destroying property or doing anything dangerous or overly difficult. Nope. You misunderstood. You really need to understand nuance and context— otherwise you'll just keep making a fool of yourself. |

I can't control what has been moved. Then link to intact threads. It's not like there's a shortage of them. Just because something has been deleted doesn't mean SelkirkTMO didn't have a meltdown. Just because you claim he had a meltdown and that you would have proff if only it weren't deleted doesn't mean that Selkirk actually had a meltdown. I think it's pretty clear he had a meltdown. You think a lot of things that aren't true. Why else would he "quit" SubChat? He obviously didn't. And it's pretty clear he was not being civil. Not out of context. Refer to the hypothetical exchange between parties A and B. Why else would he accuse our esteemed owner Larry as not having any balls? Larry hardly if ever posts here. So I think it's a safe assumption that Larry didn't say anything that warranted that response. The accusation of not having balls generally refers to a lack of action. If I recall, you were making rather a mess at the time— whatever you did to Larry, he didn't ban you and he bent over backwards to protect you despite your shenanigans. I suspect that may have served as the basis for Selkirk's statement, Brian Weinberg— after all, the evidence of your little snit remains embedded in SubChat to this day. |

If you asked about specifics of a method of entering a particular place that appears to be inaccessible, any relevant answer you received would have to be followed quite literally in order to work. It doesn't seem unreasonable then to think that any restrictions you put on the particular solution you were looking for were also meant literally. |

Many years ago, the two tracks between 103d & 111st under the flyover express track were used for off hour layups. Between 111 & Willets Point. I'd see rush hr put-ins heading twoards Main St on the track adjacent to the Manhattan bound local track. To this day, trains being taken out of service after the rush hr.will make 111st the last stop then head to the yard. Perhaps your mom was on one of the trains that was being taken out of service. |

The local part is almost unavoidable, but it would mean linking more of Queens together, and a one seat ride to 6th Ave or Broadway, if they reroute either the M or R (my preference is the M for operational reasons). Connecting the route to the J line would mean a faster connection to midtown, but a big chunk of the ROW (and the neighborhoods it goes through) will be missed. |

If they were removed prior to the transit museum, we all know unfortunately where they went, unless some intrepid, railfan in the know was able to get their hands on one. |

Do you remember the subject line of one, or do you remember the reason why? I know it was chained with 9th ave. el distance numbers and a 9th ave. le, line, route letter. Was it also because the 3rd rail power source from 155th to some point beyond Jerome-Anderson, was considered part of the power distribution system sourced for the 9th ave. el? (don't know this latter point for sure, just speculating) |

Supposedly, all the way into the '80s, there were signs at 111 St or 103 St directing people to take the 2nd Ave el. I remember the Daily News making a stink about obsolete and inaccurate subway signage, and that was a prime example. |

I suppose another option would be to restore it to LIRR service— even with the FRA, you can still run LIRR trains as far as Howard Beach by shifting the subway tracks to one side and putting LIRR tracks on the other.Alternatively, cut back the A to Howard Beach and turn the Rockaway line back over to the LIRR— three trains an hour is probably about what the Rockaways get now, so if the Rockaway service uses subway fares then it'd be a major boost. Or maybe charge standard LIRR fares but offer discount monthly passes to Rockaway residents good on subways, buses, and LIRR Rockaway trains. |

Thank you very much for these details. What is the source for the prototype C's testing on B'way Bklyn? Brooklyn Eagle archive or another rail publication, that if I have, I maybe didn't read thorougly, or just remember this. And B'way Brooklyn cars operating to Canal Stree until 1927? Yeah, I must be forgetting this. I know that probably I would have heard this while talking to somebody. Again, I thought el cars operated to Chambers til the late teens or early 20's t best. Again if have the source for this I'd love to find it. Either of the above sources, or an old service guide on the back of those 1920s BMt maps? thanks. |
