For those of you who mentioned the 3 Av El, if you look carefully, the 3 Av el is NOT on that map. The line that appears to be the 3 Av el is actually the Metro North ROW. There was a proposal to let M/N use the middle tracks of the ROW and give NYCT use of the local tracks between the Mott Haven area and Woodlawn. Take a careful look at the stations and you will see that they are actually NYCRR/MN stations. |

The el is on the map in the eBay auction, though (phase one). |

Seeing the map which includes the Utica Avenue, Nostrand extensions and using part of the Bay Ridge line, which were all in the Department of City Planning's master plan for NYC, it sounds like someone at the MTA was given the task to redo the lettering scheme after these extensions were made and that's what they came up with.On another note, did you go to Bill's memorial service on June 1st or know anyone who went? I wasn't able to make it. |

Actually, with the recent development of the Downtown Bkln area as a sort of "second CBD" it would have made sense for the Fulton lcl by whatever letter you would have wanted to call it to operate all the way to Court St in service. Remember, this was proposed before the establishment of the Transit Museum. |

Even with the growth of downtown Brooklyn, any Court St bound local train would dump most of its passengers, who wish to go to Manhattan, at Hoyt. Unless, my wish is fufilled- a tunnel under Clinton St, connecting Schermerhorn/Clinton with Montague/Clinton. |
