Again, not infallible, and another call to Onstar will usually correct the problem. I had an issue with them giving me poor directions to the USS New Jersey; once I found it by following the directions that the Onstar rep read me (instead of the automated system, not only did I get where I needed to be, Onstar was able to update their system with the correct destination. |

The problem with that is two-fold; first, you assume that someone at the gas station would know the area; second, you assume they would speak English well enough to have their instructions understood. |

So why would you say it's not confusing? it's exactly as you described. |

There are signs that tell you how far the 'really far' cities are, but they're pretty rare. And if you're driving THAT far, you've planned your trip well in advance. You don't get in the car for a 1000 mile journey relying entirely upon GPS to guide you. It's idiotic. |

It's NOT confusing, unless the signs are incorrect. The highway sign bible (MUTCD) says that left-exits should have the exit number tab on the left side of the sign; in NYC, those numbers are rarely in the right place.Left-exits, though rare, are not abnormal. |

I'll quit when you start engaging in honest intellectual debate and admitting when you are wrong and learning from your mistakes. No, most people here couldn't care one way or the other - the ones who specifically claim to not like me are predominantly the ones with sticks up their asses over being told that they are wrong (when they are). So it makes perfect sense. What's the problem? Why would I want them to like me? |
