Posted by Train Man Paul : Metro-North's Best Conductor FOR ALL 3 LINES!!! on Mon Mar 1 22:46:11 2010 Just a couple of shots at Valley Cottage, NY, at the Kings Highway Grade Crossing (Rockland County Route 13), north of CP 26 on the River Subdivision......CSX Q409-13, Selkirk Yard, Albany NY to Rice Yard, Waycross GA (NOTE: The second set of numerals, in this case, the number 13 in Q409-13, means this is CSX scheduled Q-409 on the 13th in the date, in this case this was 09/13/2009)......   Into the sun......  As the clouds pass thru to lower the light a little, along comes CSX Q-433-13, Selkirk Yard, Albany NY to Oak Island Yard, Newark NJ.....   Thundering by, approaching CP 26 up ahead, the start of a four mile long siding, starting at CP 26 here in Valley Cottage, and ending and back to single track at CP 22 in Blauvelt......  Once an household name in the skies for decades, now a budding name on the rails in the Northeast!! PAN AM!!  More PAN AM!!......  And CSX Q433-13 is off to Oak Island!!! Thank you for coming along!!
