Congratulations, you created a system that ensures little political support for Amtrak improvements due to its ultra-regionalization, and denies the provision of actual rail services to other corridors in the country.Other corridors do not carry nearly as many passengers. ultra-regionalization is a fact of life, Amtrak's demand is regionalized. It's unwise to spend a disproportionate amount of precious funding on little used segments of the syster, only to ensure political support. There are other ways of creating political will to pass it. |
